Blue has been my favorite color since I was a child. Why? I am not certain, there has always been a calming vibe to all things blue for me. So, when I came across the AeroPress Clear Blue I knew I had to create a blue drink to go along with it.
This is where we have the “Café Blue”. It’s a very simple vanilla latte topped with a vibrant blue cold foam made with butterfly pea flower tea powder. If you are not sure what that is, think of a mild blue matcha powder. Very similar in taste to matcha, but a lot more mild flavor. This gives you the perfect opportunity to combine this cold foam with your favorite syrup flavor or have the tea powder stand alone for a nice earthy taste to the sweet vanilla latte below. Dust the top with some more powder for that aesthetic look, or simply enjoy the drink! This is a wonderful spring themed drink as with spring we get those beautiful blue skies, which is what this drink represents to me. Plus you get the subtle earthy flavor of the tea powder, which is perfect for this time of year.
